What if I told you this post will not only help you lose body fat, but it will also make you richer? You would be a fool not to read it. Fools can click off now. For the rest of you smart people let’s get to business.

Many people in the quest for shreddedness have said these words to me: “I can’t eat healthy because the food is too expensive.” I will admit to being one of those people a long time ago, and I too relapse back into similar habits, but I’ve changed my thinking and you will too. First we have to figure out the source of the problem: Why do people think like that? What’s causing this thought process?

The fast food industry is causing this. You can get a burger, taco, or pizza (or even a combination) for less than $10, yet when you want to buy something perceived as healthy, like a steak dinner perhaps, you pretty much have to dive into your pension to pay for it. This is a result of 1) better ingredients 2) better food preparation and 3) dining experience. Now take away dining experience and food prep cost because you and whoever you decide to share your meals with will now take care of that. That leaves you with better ingredient cost which isn’t much if you actually calculate it. Let’s look at an example:

Fast food day

Meal 1: 2 sausage mcmuffins 1.39×2 = $2.78

Meal 2: Quarter Chicken Dinner = $6.49

Meal 3: Chicken Salad = $5

1 drink: $1

Total: $15.27 not including tax

Food prep day

Carton of eggs = $2.85

Package of chicken breast = $10

Small bag of rice = $4

Fruits and veggies = $10

Almonds = $7

Water = Free

Total: $33.85

Some of you may be thinking “Sean, maybe you haven’t done math in awhile, but $33.85 is always more than $15.27.” You know what, you’re right. But when corrected for the number of meals that $33.85 actually gives you when compared with $15.27 the tables turn. The ingredients above will provide most people with a comfortable 2 days worth of fat loss meals, leaving you with an actual total of $16.93. The eggs, rice, and even the almonds will definitely last longer than that so chances are the next time you buy groceries it will be even cheaper.

Also, one of those meal plans is going to get you to that goal of looking great on the beach and one isn’t. If you don’t want to look like everyone else then don’t eat like everyone else. Don’t get hung up on specifics, the take home message is that buying your groceries is way better for your wallet and your waistline in the long run.

Was this awesome? Good. Share it with EVERYONE!
